1. Introduction

OLLIN is a community management platform operated by private founders in Israel. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the service.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account details: name, email address, phone number (optional), profile photo.
• Content you post: messages, photos, events, and other community content.
• Children's data (if applicable): name, medical information, emergency contacts.

Automatically Collected

• Device type and operating system.
• Error reports (without personal identifiers).
• Usage statistics. To keep the app working well, we always keep anonymous daily counts — for example how many times a screen was opened, a sign-up step was reached, or an action succeeded or failed. These counts contain no name, no ID of any kind, no community, no device identifier, no IP address and no content, and cannot be linked to you, even by us. They may be kept without a time limit. If you turn on "Share usage data" in Settings, we also record which screens and actions you use and whether they worked, under a coded ID instead of your name, for all your communities. This never includes content (messages, photos, names or text), is deleted after 13 months, and you can turn it off at any time. Both are stored in our own database and seen only by the Ollin development team.

3. How We Use Information

• Operating the service: managing accounts, community communication, sending notifications.
• Security and fraud prevention.
• Improving the service: anonymous counts, plus coded usage data only from people who turned on "Share usage data" — never content.

We do not use data for targeted advertising and we do not sell personal data.

4. Children's Data

Some communities manage information about children. Children cannot create accounts on their own – data is managed by authorized adults only. Access is restricted to authorized community staff and linked parents or guardians.

5. Information Sharing

• We use third-party service providers to operate the platform (hosting, notifications, error monitoring). The database, sign-in and files are hosted by Supabase.
• The smart assistant (AI) works only in a community whose admin turned it on. When you ask it something, your question and community information you can already see are sent to Google (Gemini API), outside Israel, to produce the answer.
• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not share data for advertising purposes.
• Content you post is visible to community members based on your role and permissions.

6. Data Security

• All traffic is encrypted in transit.
• Passwords are hashed – never stored as plaintext.
• Access controls ensure users only see data they are authorized to access.
• API keys are stored securely.

7. Your Rights

• Access your data.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and data.
• Download a copy of your data (JSON) in the app: Settings → Privacy & my data.
• Turn off "Share usage data" at any time. Anonymous counts cannot be tied to you, so they cannot be accessed or deleted per person.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

• Data is kept while your account is active.
• Account deletion is available in-app. Deletion removes authentication records, anonymizes your profile, and removes your coded usage data (anonymous counts hold nothing of yours).
• A parent or guardian can delete a child's profile and all of the child's data in the app.
• AI assistant conversations are kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically; you can delete them sooner in the app.
• Backups: our hosting provider keeps a daily database backup for 7 days. Before each app update we also keep a copy of the database for recovery; only the most recent copies are kept and older ones are deleted.

9. Where Data Is Stored

Data is stored on Supabase servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU), AWS region eu-central-1. Some service providers (for example the smart assistant, notifications and error monitoring) may process data in other countries outside Israel.

10. Changes to This Policy

Material changes will be published in the app and on the website. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
